L.O., as it is commonly referred to, is considered a highly desirable community and home prices reflect this. Outdoor artwork can be found throughout the city in parks and common areas. Gorgeous hanging flower baskets line the streets during the summer months. Charming downtown Lake Oswego, which is situated on the eastern edge of Lake Oswego, has been revitalized in the last few years and you’ll find popular restaurants, trendy boutiques and galleries. In the city’s older neighborhoods and around the Lake, cottages mingle with mansions. As you move further out of downtown, housing styles reflect the age of the neighborhoods. The newer developments, built 1990 to current are primarily traditional homes with 3 – 4 bedrooms, bonus rooms and great room style kitchen and family rooms. The Mt. Park neighborhood which is convenient to I-5 has a large concentration of apartments and condominiums.
