Gresham
Gresham, Oregon’s 4th largest city, is 14 miles east of Portland and most easily accessed via Interstates 5 and 205. It is home to the annual “Mt. Hood Jazz” festival and is aptly knick named “The City of Music”. Close to both The Columbia Gorge and the Mt. Hood National Forest, residents enjoy a fast escape route to two of the Pacific Northwest’s most spectacular natural playgrounds. Gresham is one of Oregon’s fastest growing cities with developments, both single family and high density, sprouting up in all corners. The eastside Max Light Rail system provides mass transit access to Portland’s urban center – but plan in advance as the trip will take you around 50 minutes. Residents choose to live here to take advantage of home prices that allow “more bang for the buck”, beautiful valley and mountain views, a sense of community. Historic downtown Gresham is a quaint area to spend a day strolling or shopping in a variety of eclectic shops or at the Farmers Market. Portland International Airport is under 20 minutes away making Gresham a good option for frequent travelers. The housing styles are mixed in style and age.
